Commercial lines research
Know what a business actually does.
A quote or application tells you how a business describes itself. Underwriter Mind searches its public digital footprint — website, reviews, permits, social profiles — and reports the operations it actually finds, each with a source link and a confidence score.
Delivered as a PDF to your inbox, usually within a few minutes.
Every finding is cited
The report has three parts: the operations found, the ones that carry different exposure than the stated class, and a transparent list of every source checked, including the ones that turned up nothing. See a full sample report.
Sale and mounting of new passenger and light truck tires.
Installation of aftermarket suspension kits that change a vehicle's ride height.
Listed among the business's services on its BBB profile, but absent from its own website.
Increased exposure considerations
Operations that carry a different liability, regulatory, or severity profile than the stated classification are called out separately, with the reasoning written out: suspension modification at a tire shop, off-premises catering at a bar, meal service to infants at a child care center, excavation inside an electrical account, and so forth.
How it works
Submit the risk, and the research runs on its own.
You submit the risk
Business name, primary city and state, and the trade as written on the quote or application. Add the website if you have it.
Its digital footprint is searched
The risk's own site and service pages, review platforms, permitted work, and more, all matched to that specific business and location rather than a namesake elsewhere.
You receive a cited PDF
Operations with confidence scores, exposure considerations, and a citation behind every claim so you can check the evidence yourself.
What gets checked
Every source is listed in the report whether it produced anything or not, so you can see what was searched rather than only what was found.
What it does not do
This is a research tool, not an underwriting decision. It reports operations and cites them. It does not verify licensure or compliance, does not recommend coverage, and does not tell you whether to write the account.
Pricing
